Three-Part Webinar Series: Seismic Design of Steel Reinforced Concrete Buildings in Accordance with ACI 318-25

This webinar series will provide an overview of the design and detailing requirements for steel reinforced concrete buildings subjected to earthquake effects in accordance with the 2025 edition of ACI 318 Building Code for Structural Concrete – Code Requirements and Commentary.

Three, 2-hour webinars, each from Noon – 2 pm (Pacific), will cover the design and detailing of structural members in cast-in-place concrete buildings with nonprestressed steel reinforcement assigned to Seismic Design Categories B through F:

• Session 1 (October 6):
  Design and Detailing Requirements for SDC B and C
  • Intermediate moment frames
  • Structural walls
  • Diaphragms
  • Foundations

• Session 2 (October 7):
  Design and Detailing Requirements for SDC D, E, and F – Part 1
  • Special moment frames
  • Diaphragms
  • Members not part of the SFRS

• Session 3 (October 8):
  Design and Detailing Requirements for SDC D, E, and F – Part 2
  • Special structural walls and coupling beams
  • Foundations

Step-by-step design procedures, design aids, and constructability guidelines are provided in each session along with a summary of the major changes that occurred from the 2019 to the 2025 edition of ACI 318. Included are demonstrations of the newly updated CRSI Design Checklists based on ACI 318-25.

Registration fee of $500 includes a printed copy of the NEW 2nd edition of the CRSI Design Checklists with links to upgraded calculation spreadsheets (a $200 value). Note publication fullfillment will occur the week of October 5th.

Each registered attendee will receive 6-hours of professional development credit. Recordings of each session will be made available to event registrants.
