About the Program
Welcome to CRSI HONORS
For 50 years, the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute has used the CRSI Design Awards program to proudly recognize innovative reinforced concrete structures throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Now, the CRSI HONORS Design and Construction Awards program raises the proverbial bar. HONORS submittals are reviewed in particular on the ways in which reinforced concrete has been leveraged by professionals to improve the structure’s value, sustainability, appearance and durability. Consideration is also given to design and/or construction approaches that leverage steel reinforced concrete in an innovative manner or to an exceptional degree, and on the basis of the extent to which ultimate outcome objectives were achieved.
CRSI wants to recognize your successful outcomes!
Selected entries will be promoted globally over the next two years as case examples through university lectures, regional seminars and digital communications. Your achievement will inspire both prospective clientele and well as students and young professionals seeking to become tomorrow’s design and construction leaders.
Entry/Materials Requirements
SORRY, THIS PROGRAM CYCLE HAS COMPLETED. A NEW CALL FOR ENTRIES WILL BEGIN IN 2024.
Submittals accepted March 1 through June 1, 2022.
Categories include all major concrete building uses and bridge types.
Online entry is fast and easy!
The 2022 CRSI HONORS program is open to all project team members including owners, designers, builders and structural material suppliers. Eligible structures utilize reinforced concrete as the primary structural system and must have been completed between January 1st, 2018 and December 31st, 2021. Eligible structures must be located in the United States, Canada or Mexico.
Entries are submitted in one file upload! Statistics such as overall size, height/length, floor height/span width, floor system, project dates and costs are all requested. Project statements include why reinforced concrete was chosen, any specific objectives and/or obstacles that were overcome using reinforced concrete, and others. Both drawings and high resolution (construction and completed) photos are requested. The more information and supporting materials that are supplied, the better; but we understand that not all information requested may be available.
