Michelle Calgano

Michelle joins CRSI as the Director of Technical Resources. She has experience working at some well-known engineering firms, including Magnusson Klemencic Associates and Thornton Tomasetti. Constructability is a key focus of hers as she previously spent 18 years in the construction industry, including 15 years as a concrete laborer, primarily working on reinforced concrete high-rises and bridges. She is proud to have played a role in shaping the Chicago skyline through her work on notable projects such as Aqua Tower, 340 East Randolph, Millennium Park, and the Wacker Drive Reconstruction.

Michelle looks forward to engaging in constructability initiatives and offering industry professionals technical support, design tools, and best practices to deliver the best results for steel reinforced concrete construction.

Michelle graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and obtained a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
