2022 HONORS Award Recipients

Submittals were reviewed in particular on the ways in which reinforced concrete has been leveraged by professionals to improve the structure’s value, sustainability, appearance, and durability. All submittals were judged on the basis of the extent to which ultimate outcome objectives were achieved. Special consideration was given to design and/or construction approaches that leverage steel reinforced concrete in an innovative manner or to an exceptional degree.

Recognized for design and construction excellence of 39- and 16-story mixed-use buildings utilizing special steel reinforced concrete structural walls with Grade 80 reinforcement, resulting in a very cost-effective solution for high seismic loads.

Recognized for design and construction excellence of a 9-story hospital, which provided reduced floor-to-floor heights, inherent fire resistance, and stringent vibration control through the utilization of a steel reinforced concrete framing system.
