Position Title: Northeast Region Manager
Reports To: President and CEO
Overview:

CRSI is looking for a Region Manager to join their team and positively impact the use of steel reinforced concrete construction in buildings and other target markets. Responsibilities include implementation of national market development plans as well as developing, implementing and maintaining appropriate regional strategic plans for market development and member services. This position reports to the President and CEO and serves as the primary CRSI staff contact responsible for all market development and region business.

Position Requirements:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maximize the market share of reinforcing steel usage within the region, reporting activity and success measures as appropriate
  • Develop, implement, and maintain regional strategic plans for market development and member services
  • Serve as the primary CRSI staff contact responsible for all market development and region and chapter business
  • Develop and maintain accurate databases of contact information
  • Participate in CRSI national activities through committee membership, document review, and national plan development
  • Support membership and member services to engage and attract members in the region

Regional Program Tasks:

  • Maximize the market share of reinforcing steel usage within the region, reporting activity and success measures as appropriate
  • Develop, implement, and maintain regional strategic plans for market development and member services
  • Serve as the primary CRSI staff contact responsible for all market development and region and chapter business
  • Develop and maintain accurate databases of contact information
  • Participate in CRSI national activities through committee membership, document review, and national plan development
  • Support membership and member services to engage and attract members in the region
Qualifications:
  • Conduct presentations and workshops to target audiences; be a resource for regional architectural schools and University professors
  • Produce regional information for use in internal and external newsletters
  • Provide assistance and be a resource to designers and contractors
  • Conduct ongoing market research within the region to develop new strategies
  • Utilize CRSI chapter seminars to reach local designers, and develop a speaker’s bureau for regional use
  • Foster partnering with allied group; set up and conduct joint programs and get commitments for joint funding where appropriate
Location:

Work is based in a home-office. Ideal location is in the New York or Philadelphia area, with Boston as secondary preference.

Travel:

This role requires a minimum of 50% travel within the Region as well as select National travel.

Position Title: Communications Associate
Reports To: Director of Communications
Overview:

The Communications Associate provides support to the Director of Communications and other departments, as required, that includes the production of print and digital materials and publications, and the Institute’s monthly and quarterly newsletters. This role also supports continuing education activities and assists with new marketing initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages in-house production of monthly and quarterly Membership newsletters; develop timeline; edit submissions and/or write content as needed; confirm layout; distribute electronically
  • Produce promotional and supporting collateral such as flyers, brochures, emails, and web pages, for Institute’s initiatives and publications using print and digital/web formats
  • Collaborate with staff and the leadership team to ensure communications uphold CRSI’s messaging, tone, style and branding guidelines; rework submitted content to clarify the message to align with branding guidelines when necessary
  • Develop and maintain content on the website
  • Monitor and maintain social media vehicles to consistently promote the reinforced concrete construction industry; monitor trade and industry media for member news and information
  • Administer and support the learning management system; assist with webinars, surveys, and broadcasts
  • Assist in administering the CRSI HONORS design and construction recognition program
  • Collaborate with department leaders and Region Managers to produce promotional materials for ad hoc events and activities
  • Assist in implementing national marketing programs and regional plans in coordination with Region Managers
  • Secondary tasks may include answer phones, customer support; handle product fulfilment; conduct inventory audits; monitor public email accounts; support mailing campaigns; support trade show and meeting preparation activities
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Design or English preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a marketing or communications department; association or membership organization preferred
  • Prior print design/layout and digital publishing experience with portfolio of work required
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Working knowledge of website CMS, HTML 5, and/or digital media content creation preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize duties
Physical Demands:

There may be occasional demands to lift boxes up to 40 pounds.
