Position Title: Director of Meetings and Member Services
Reports To: Senior Director of Communications and Outreach
Overview:

The Director of Meetings and Member Services oversees development, planning, and management of CRSI’s membership initiatives. This role will provide guidance about CRSI membership, benefits, and products in addition to maintaining member relationships, organizing member engagement events, and documenting shifts in industry trends. Working closely with the President and CEO, this role is responsible to carry out the mission and objectives of CRSI as approved by the Board of Directors. The Director of Member Services is a member of the leadership team and works directly with the Board of Directors as needed.

Position Requirements:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage the membership process including the application process, member retention strategies, and recruitment efforts; develop and produce reports; recommend new programs and services
  • Manage the entire meeting and event planning process at CRSI including budgets, venue, and price according to CRSI objectives
  • Act as the Liaison to CRSI’s Membership and Member Services Committee; develop and implement plans; create agendas and other required supporting documentation
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing members
  • Develop and implement creative strategies for member growth, enrollment, and engagement
  • Provide information on membership rates and pricing for products to members and potential members
  • Ensure the integrity of member data; troubleshoot and follow-up on programming issues with the database, registration, and renewal processes
  • Manage all membership related administrative tasks
  • Produce content required for events and member services in collaboration with CRSI’s communication team including printed materials, email solicitations/notices and corresponding distribution schedule, membership communications, etc.
  • Support the accounting team as needed with membership (dues) invoicing and reconciliation
  • Supervise Office and Meetings Associate
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field; Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in meeting planning and/or membership related activities
  • Excellent planner, highly attentive to details, organized, and an innovative and strategic thinker
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative partnerships and build relationships
Location:

Work is located in the Schaumburg, IL headquarters.

Travel:

Ability to travel as required.

Work is performed in an office environment with minimal physical exertion.
