	CRSI Design Awards Rules and Guidelines

	CRSI Design Awards
		For over 35 years, the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute Design Awards program has honored excellence in site-cast and conventionally reinforced concrete structures and acknowledged their designers.

	Guidelines
		All entries will be evaluated on the following criteria:
		Aesthetic Expression Design Innovation Engineering Achievement Functional Excellence Economy of Construction

	Eligibility
		The CRSI Design Awards program is open to architects, engineers and contractors—entrants may be individuals or teams. Eligible structures must be located within the United States, Canada or Mexico and must have been completed between January 1, 2004 and September 30, 2007.

	How to Enter
		Download the 2008 Design Awards entry form available below. Complete the entry form and required submittal materials and return to CRSI by November 1, 2007.

	Categories
		The CRSI-selected jury, comprised of architects and engineers, reserves the right to award multiple prizes in a single category. Entries will be judged in the following seven categories:

		1. Residential Buildings

		2. Commercial Buildings Office Buildings Hospitality Convention Centers

		3. Educational and Healthcare Facilities Schools and Universities Hospitals Healthcare Facilities

		4. Public Buildings Government Buildings Military Facilities Courthouses

		5. Cultural and Entertainment Facilities Museums Entertainment Centers Sports Stadiums Recreational Complexes

		6. Transportation Facilities Airport Facilities Rail and Multi-Modal Structures Parking Structures

		7. Bridges All types and spans will be considered

	Entry Fee
		The fee for entering the Design Awards program is $175 per submittal. Make checks payable to the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute.

	Schedule and Deadlines
		November 1, 2007........... Submittal materials due to CRSI in Schaumburg, IL
		December 2007............... Review of entries by a CRSI-selected jury of design professionals
		January 2008................... Winners notified
		March/April 2008.............. Announcement of winners to national trade press

	Deadline
